Workshop at at Pure Energy Massage and Yoga in Newport
We breath in and out approximately 20,000 times every day. Our breath, the process of inspiring air into and expiring air out of our lungs, is a vital component of our life, our health, and our experience as humans. Breath creates the ability to smell, to taste, and to speak. Laughter follows a specific breathing pattern, as does crying, we breath faster when we are angry, anxious, or aroused and slower when we are relaxed and comfortable. In this 2 hour class we will explore the anatomy of the breath through pranayama (specific breathing practices), asana (yoga postures), and meditation. This workshop is open to all levels, please sign up ahead of time.
