Yoga & Surf/SUP Vacation!

at Hotelito Los Sueños www.hotelitolossuenos.com

Join us on the beautiful Pacific Coast of Mexico for 5 sun soaked days of yoga, surfing, stand up paddle boarding, beach bumming and advanced napping and 6 boisterous nights of eating, drinking, dancing, and general merriment!

Located on a sandy back street in the sleepy little town of Sayulita, Hotelito Los Suenos is the ideal location for a yoga vacation! Roll out of bed each morning and find your way upstairs to begin your day with centering meditation, refreshing yoga and a delicious smoothie in the beautiful open-air, rooftop studio. Once you tire of enjoying the fresh breeze blowing in off the ocean and listening to the birds as you sip your mourning coffee on the veranda, it’s time to stroll down the street to the beach (or into town for a pastry and another espresso)!  Spend your days surfing, stand up paddle boarding, or enjoying any of the other multitudinous adventures you might discover in Sayulita (reading in the shade, hiking, whale watching, sipping icy beverages, exploring the winding streets, sea kayaking, practicing your Spanish with the friendly locals, mountain biking, hammock time, horseback riding, shopping… are you getting the sense there are LOTS of possibilities here? well, yes, there are!). In the evenings, after a relaxing late afternoon yoga session, savor the fantastic food, culture and nightlife this little Mexican surf town has to offer!

If you are looking for a less structured yoga retreat with daily yoga classes but also TONS of free time to enjoy the natural beauty and culture of Mexico, this retreat is for you!

Yoga Retreat: Yoga and the Wild Beauty of Mexico

at Haramara Retreat www.haramararetreat.com

Treat yourself to 7 luxurious days of rest and rejuvenation on the gorgeous Pacific Coast of Mexico!

Just 10 minutes outside of the little town of Sayulita, tucked into a peaceful hillside overlooking the ocean and surrounded by lush jungle, Haramara offers the ideal setting for a retreat steeped in the healing beauty of nature. Awake each morning to the sounds of jungle birds, the ever-present rhythm of the sea (Haramara’s name means “Mother Ocean” in the local Mayan language) and the fresh morning air flowing freely through the open walls of your thatch-roofed casita (little sleeping cottage). After a blissful open-air shower in your private, hand-sculpted bath, find your way along tidy jungle trails to the dining pavilion and enjoy a delicious breakfast as you take in breathtaking views of the jungle and ocean bellow… then it’s yoga time! Every day our classes will interweave asana (yoga poses) with stories of the surrounding natural and cultural landscape as a way of deepening our connection to the complex beauty that surrounds us. Each afternoon, after a fresh, local lunch, enjoy ample free time for reading, massages at the spa, hikes in the jungle, walks to town or along the many nearly empty, wave swept beaches, sun bathing, or napping followed by a gentle late afternoon practice of meditation, pranayama and restorative yoga. Several afternoons during the week will be left open (no yoga class) for those who want to take more extended hikes, spend more time in town, go whale watching, kayaking, or try surfing or stand up paddle boarding. In the evenings find yourself served yet another exquisitely prepared meal as you enjoy good company, the vault of starlit sky above, and the lullaby of waves bellow.

Cost: Single $2475, Double $1775, Triple $1530, Dorm $1340*

*Prices include: Accommodations, 3 delicious, local, meals and 4 exquisite hours of yoga per day.  Transportation to and from retreat not included. Kids welcome.

Getting To and From Sayulita: Fly from any major US city to Puerto Vallerta, Mexico, from there you can take a cheap busride to Sayulita ($4 per person, takes about 1 hour), catch a taxi, or if you prefer we can arrange a shuttle for you for the 40 minute car ride to the retreat.

What to Expect at Haramara: Layout: Haramara is located on 15 acres of private land that slopes down to the Pacific Ocean. The rustic but luxurious cabanas that we will be staying in, the yoga pavilions (there are 2), the dining area, and the spa are spread throughout the property to preserve the sense of truly being in nature and to create privacy and seclusion for those who seek it. (If you want to get a sense of the layout, visit the Haramara map here: Haramara Map) This means that you should expect to do some walking up and down to get to and from classes, meals, your room, and the beach. In addition, you can walk to the town of Sayulita by following the beach (rock scrambling involved) or via the road.  The walk takes about 20 minutes. You can also get to town easily via a 10 minute taxi ride if you prefer not to walk. Haramara video: (http://vimeo.com/araizcondoy/haramara )

Haramara’s excellent FAQ page: FAQ

Services at Haramara: There are no electric lights in the cabanas at Haramara, all light is provided by candles and lamps. Haramara is an “eco-retreat”, which means conservation of resources is a primary concern of theirs. The having no electric lighting in the rooms will also enhance your ability to sync with the natural rhythms of day and night, lending to the deeply restorative nature of our retreat! Each cabana does have its own bathroom with hot running water. The tap water is not for drinking, but clean, purified drinking water is provided in every cabana as well as at meals. The only shared bathrooms are those in the dorm (4 people per bathroom).  You are also encouraged to bring hair & body care products that are biodegradable and chemical free if possible.  There are no outlets in the cabanas so do not bring hairdryers or other appliances. If you need to charge cell phone or other batteries, there are outlets for guest use in the restaurant and office area.

Technology: There is cell service in Sayulita but only spotty coverage at Haramara. There is no internet at Haramara. If you need to check email there are internet cafes in Sayulita. We suggest taking full advantage of this great opportunity to UN-Plug!

Spa: Haramara has a full service spa. See the Spa Menu

Activities: There are many opportunities to take surf lessons, whale watch, sail, snorkel etc. We will have an optional group excursion on Wednesday, but you should have plenty of time to schedule other excursions during our long afternoon breaks.   See more details here: Excursions!

Emergency contact info: in an emergency, if you need to be contacted the best way to do so is to call or email the Haramara office in Tucson, AZ at 1.800.687.3132 info@haramararetreat.com. The office can then get a message to you at the retreat center.
